Through the Dental pod’s Plastic Neutral certification, we are delighted to join the fight against plastic pollution in Indonesia, creating a more sustainable future for people and the planet.

As one of Indonesia’s most popular tourist attractions, Bali is rooted in rich ancient traditions and a strong cultural identity. Part of the Coral Triangle in the western Pacific Ocean, Bali’s seas have some of the highest biodiversity of marine species in the world.

However, in recent years, rising levels of plastic waste in part driven by tourism, has led to a plastic waste crisis. Turtles and manta rays now swim amongst plastic bags, while Bali’s streams, mangroves and beaches are filling up with waste. With Indonesia being one of the top contributors to ocean plastic in the world, it’s here that we can make a real difference.

Our partnership with rePurpose Global’s Segara Kerthi project on the island, means that we are making an immediate impact on improving the livelihoods of local waste workers, their communities and the natural ecosystem that they rely on. Our project works with over 100 small-scale waste collectors to recover ocean-bound plastic bags. It trains local waste workers, creating new income opportunities and safer working conditions.

Already, the Segara Kerthi project in Bali is responsible for the recovery of 160,000 pounds of plastic waste, which would otherwise have been released into the ocean. This is equivalent to 15 million plastic bottles! We are committed to recovering an equivalent amount of plastic waste from Bali’s coastlines and surrounding areas for every single Dental pod we create.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

The Dental pod’s Plastic Neutral certification is a testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation. We’re dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and leading the way in environmentally-responsible dental care solutions.

How Does the Zima Go Lid Work?
Oral appliance users will often face challenges when trying to use notoriously unreliable and flimsy plastic storage cases to protect their retainers, aligners, dentures and guards. That’s why we engineered the Zima Go protective case, which works hard to look after both your appliance and your overall oral health. With meaningful design and two years of development, the Zima Go carry case combines form, function and safety into one compact device.

Should I Stop Chewing Gum?
Though chewing gum has long been a popular choice for freshening breath, it can be an uncomfortable option for oral appliance users. Zima Fresh aligner spray was specifically formulated to help oral appliance users comfortably and conveniently combat bad breath (halitosis) and dry mouth throughout the day.
